USA Swimming ID Numbers

The GHSA State Meet is an observed meet for Georgia Swimming LSC. This means times from the state meet can be used for qualification purposes for USA Swimming meets. In order for the times to be recognized the coach MUST input the swimmer’s current USA Swimming ID number and correct date of birth in the athlete information in the proof of performance system prior to the meet entry deadline. Please note the ID numbers for all swimmers in Georgia have changed beginning in the fall of 2022. ID numbers entered in the system prior to November 1 are likely not valid for this year, please confirm the correct ID number for your athlete and make sure it is entered in the system. Results from the meet will be submitted to the SWIMS coordinator for Georgia at the conclusion of the meet. Any missing times or other inaccuracies are the responsibility of the coach of the athlete and not meet management.

How to Update a USASID

Adding/Editing your swimmer's USS ID.

1 Go to https://app.ghsa.net/ . The same location you input your proof of performance. Log in using your normal username and password.

2. Once you have logged in click on Roster

3. Either click on Add Individual to add a new swimmer who is not already in the system, or click on Edit next to a swimmer's name who is in the system and does not already have a USS ID.
4. Input the swimmer's correct Date of Birth and USS # in the following spot. This is also where you can update the Grade for your swimmer. Please make sure the swimmer's date of birth is accurate.

As we did last year, beginning in mid January we will start to send out updates on the status of your swimmer's USS numbers via the meet website. Our admin ref, Cheryl Loprinzo will go to the painstaking task and reviewing current submissions and will highlight info that needs to be reviewed by teams and in some cases corrected if you want your swimmer's times to be recognized by USA Swimming.

Please refer to the spreadsheet found at USAS ID Number Status (Please note, the information currently listed is from LAST year, so don't panic if one of your athletes is currently flagged for an error)

  1. The first column Comment 1 essentially states if an ID is entered. If no ID is entered and the swimmer is not a club swimmer no further action is needed. If the swimmer IS a current and active club swimmer you need to enter their number ASAP or their times will not be eligible to be used for qualifying purposes for USA Swimming meets.
  2. The second column for ID Verified specifies if the USASID number is valid and current. If there are any inaccuracies in the ID number the status will be ID not found. If the ID is correct, then it will be listed as ID verified. If it is ID not found, please coordinate with the swimmer and get the correct ID input into the system.
  3. The Comment 2 column specifies what is wrong with the USASID number, it could be a missing character, an old ID format, or the ID could not be verified as a USASID number.
  4. The comment 3 column specifies a likely course of action to correct the problem. It may involve confirming the ID number in the system is accurate with the swimmer. Please take the specified steps ASAP to correct the problem.
  5. Last but not least is the DOB comment column. This specifies if there are issues with the swimmer's date of birth listed in the POP system. If this is incorrect, please get the accurate date of birth for your swimmer and input it into the POP system ASAP.
